Then I would review surrounding code for similar issues because one injection bug often indicates a broader pattern. The goal is to fix both the exploit and the habit that created it.

I would ensure user content is properly encoded for the context where it is rendered and reduce unsafe DOM handling. I would also use defensive browser policies where appropriate and verify that untrusted input cannot become executable script. The key idea is to treat every rendering context as potentially dangerous.

I would validate and restrict outbound requests, use allowlists where possible, block access to sensitive internal endpoints, and segment network permissions. SSRF is dangerous because it can turn a public-facing service into a bridge toward internal systems. Good mitigation is mostly about reducing what the server is allowed to reach.
