I’d start with what the project was, why it mattered, and what part I owned. Then I’d explain the challenge, the trade-offs I made, and the result. A strong answer stays specific and shows real ownership.

I would use a hash map for fast lookup and a doubly linked list to track which item was used most recently. That lets me insert, delete, and update entries in constant time. If the cache is full, I evict the least recently used item from the tail.

I would sort the intervals by start time and then scan them one by one. If the current interval overlaps with the previous one, I merge them by extending the end. That gives a clean and efficient solution.

I would place each number, where possible, into the index that matches its value, then scan for the first index that does not match. That approach avoids extra sorting and keeps the solution linear. It is a classic example of using the array itself as storage.

I would verify that every node stays within the allowed range as I traverse the tree. A recursive approach works well because each subtree inherits the limits from its parent. The key is to check the full ordering rule, not just the direct children.
